Background
Pattaya, Thailand is a famous tourist city with abundant sunshine and high demand for electricity, especially in remote areas where PV power generation is needed to ensure daily power supply. However, extreme weather conditions in the monsoon climate make grid instability a problem and power outages a common occurrence.
The client of this project lives in a suburb of Pattaya, where residential and small commercial power consumption are combined. In the past, power cuts frequently affected daily life and operations, and an efficient, stable, and independently operated energy storage system was urgently needed to realize round-the-clock power security.
Introduction
According to the customer's requirements, Dyness and its partners customized and deployed 2 clusters of STACK100 energy storage system with 9 sets of PowerBrick batteries to build a high-performance and high-security optical storage solution.
STACK100 residential energy storage system adopts a free stacking design without racks, realizing plug-and-play and fast installation, and each cluster can be completed in only 30 minutes; it supports 1C efficient charging and discharging, and free mixing and expanding of modules within three years, which greatly improves system flexibility and operation and maintenance efficiency. The built-in aerosol fire extinguishers and intelligent temperature-controlled air ducts also provide a full range of security for equipment operation.
Customer Value
After the system went online, the customer realized 7×24-hour power protection, and also got rid of the trouble of frequent power cuts, restoring the stability of life and work. At the same time, with the high energy efficiency and flexible capacity expansion design of STACK100, it effectively reduces the electricity bill and operation and maintenance expenses, and moves towards a more low-carbon and safe way of using electricity.
