Background
In the mountainous areas of the northern Philippines, some households face a perennial problem of unstable electricity supply. Grid coverage has been extended to some areas, but frequent thunderstorms and aging lines cause frequent interruptions in the supply of electricity, especially during the evening peak hours, which can cause great inconvenience in daily life.
A young family living on a hillside was determined to find an independent energy solution that could cope with bad weather, after their daily lighting, appliances and children's schooling needs were restricted.
Introduction
With the assistance of a professional installer, the family deployed four Dyness PowerBox Pro batteries to form a 40kWh energy storage system, which, together with the existing solar panels, builds a complete home microgrid. PowerBox Pro's high IP65 protection rating makes it easy to cope with extreme weather conditions such as torrential rainfall and humidity, and it supports a wide range of mounting options to save space by allowing flexible installation on both outdoor walls and on the ground. The system can be installed on outdoor walls and floors in a flexible and space-saving manner.
PowerBox Pro Residential Energy Storage system does not require a HUB and can realize parallel expansion of up to 50 batteries; it also has short-circuit protection and anti-surge design, as well as the ability to mix different SOC modules, which helps families realize long-term efficient operation. Intelligent fire-fighting and remote operation and maintenance mechanisms provide peace of mind for daily us.
