Background
South Africa faces frequent power constraints, especially in the suburbs, and there is a growing need for energy storage systems for householders to ensure that basic household electricity is not interrupted. The rising volume of photovoltaic installations has also accelerated local residents' interest in energy storage products.
The customer of this project is located in the Limpopo province of South Africa, with a high demand for household electricity, but load fluctuations and sudden power outages often occur in the local power grid. In order to ensure the stability of daily life, the customer decided to introduce a set of safe, reliable and easy-to-install photovoltaic storage system that supports long-term operation.
Introduction
Dyness deployed a PowerBrick storage system as the core of the residential PV storage solution for the customer, together with the rooftop photovoltaic array, to realize power generation during the daytime and power supply at night to ensure round-the-clock electricity consumption. The system consists of 4 sets of PowerBrick modules, which can flexibly meet the needs of household loads.
PowerBrick is compact in appearance and adopts 280Ah large-capacity batteries, which reduces the volume by 60% and the weight by 25%, and the design of pulleys at the bottom improves the installation efficiency. The product supports up to 50 parallel units and the capacity can be expanded to 716.8kWh. It is equipped with high-security LFP batteries, 10-year warranty and multiple electrical protection mechanisms to ensure safe and reliable operation in the long run.
Customer Value
After the system was put into use, the customer's household power supply was stabilized, and even during power restrictions or power cuts, critical loads such as lighting and home appliances were still powered without interruption. powerBrick's high energy density, flexible scalability, and ease of installation effectively increased the utilization rate of the PV system and lowered the electricity bill. dyness helped the customer build a safe, smart, and sustainable clean energy system with its timely response and professional solutions, smart and sustainable clean energy system.
