Background
Located in the North Atlantic Ocean, Ireland enjoys a cold and wet climate all year round, with residential energy needs dominated by heating and hot water. In recent years, as awareness of clean energy has increased and electricity prices have risen, more and more households are turning to solar power and energy storage to increase energy independence and reduce daily costs.
The customer for this project is located in the south of Ireland and the home is situated in a hilly area with low temperatures and erratic power supply during the winter months. The client wanted to install an energy storage system that was efficient, safe, and adapted to the extreme cold conditions to provide around-the-clock power security without compromising the aesthetic design of the home.
Introduction
Dyness, together with its partners, has deployed a home energy storage solution based on PowerBox G2. The system supports up to 50 parallel units and covers a capacity range from 10.24kWh to 512kWh, which can fully satisfy the daily and standby power needs of households. Through modular expansion and hybridization of old and new batteries, customers can flexibly upgrade the system according to their electricity consumption, saving replacement costs later on.
PowerBox G2's 16.5cm ultra-thin design and minimalist appearance make the device fit perfectly into the home space. The built-in 1C fast charging and discharging capability and 5-second aerosol fire extinguisher maximize safety while guaranteeing performance. In the face of low temperatures, the self-heating function automatically activates heating at -20°C, warming the battery to 0°C within an hour without human intervention.
Customer Value
When faced with frequent power outages and freezing temperatures, customers have finally found a solution that doesn't require compromises, as PowerBox G2 provides 24/7 power protection, with automatic heating and autonomy even in sub-zero weather, ensuring that heating and critical appliances continue to work. Its flexible expansion design not only meets the changing needs of the household, but also helps customers save on future upgrade costs. Dyness offers a true balance between safety, efficiency and the installation experience.
