Background

Pattaya, Thailand, a coastal city known for its tourism, sunny and scenic location, has become increasingly dependent on stable electricity for its residents and businesses. Especially in the suburbs, photovoltaic power generation systems have long been an important means of coping with peaks in electricity consumption and fluctuations in energy prices. However, heavy rains and extreme weather during the monsoon season cause frequent grid interruptions, leaving many homes and small businesses waiting in the dark for their power to be restored.

The client for this project is one such suburban household, which houses and runs a unit for domestic refrigeration and light commercial use. The loss of stored items, repeated restarting of equipment, and disruption to the rhythm of life after repeated sudden power outages were real issues that prompted the client to seek a stable, flexible, stand-alone energy system.

Introduction

Dyness and its local partners responded immediately to design a customized solution combining 2 clusters of STACK100 energy storage systems and 9 PowerBrick batteries. Even on the day of the installation, the team insisted on completing the site survey and initial wiring, even though the roads were muddy and difficult to navigate due to the fact that the belief of “delivering on energy promises” has already been ingrained in their hearts.

As one of the core products of this project, PowerBrick battery not only has a large capacity of 280Ah, but also maintains excellent energy output while reducing its size by 60% and weight by 25%. The bottom pulley design greatly reduces the difficulty of handling and deployment, and can be efficiently positioned even in complex terrain. The system supports up to 50 parallel units, with a flexible energy storage range of 14.3kWh to 716.8kWh, making it easy to satisfy multiple scenarios of household electricity consumption. With LFP battery technology and intelligent BMS system, PowerBrick realizes a truly safe, long-life and low-maintenance energy storage experience.

Customer Value

With the combined solution of STACK100 and PowerBrick, the customer successfully built a stable, flexible and efficient energy storage system. This not only completely solved the problem of frequent power cuts affecting the life and operation of equipment, but also realized the continuous power consumption mode of photovoltaic power generation during the day and battery power supply at night. Since the operation of the system, the customer's electricity consumption no longer depends on the fluctuation of the power grid, significantly reducing the cost of energy consumption, and realizing a truly independent, low-carbon and safe electricity experience.
