Background
The Philippine archipelago has a hot, humid and rainy climate, and the power infrastructure is challenged by frequent natural disasters such as typhoons and thunderstorms, and public facilities in some areas still suffer from unstable power supply. Especially in the education system, unstable power supply has a serious impact on teaching order and students' learning experience.
Piddig National High School in northern Ilocos has long faced such problems. As a school that has served the local community for many years, the school was looking for a safe and reliable energy storage solution when upgrading its campus to incorporate renewable energy and backup power capacity into its overall planning.
Introduction
Four Dyness PowerBox Pro Residential Energy Storage systems with a total storage capacity of 40.96kWh were recommended and deployed by the project partner installer to mitigate the risk of power loss to critical equipment in the school building. The system supports a maximum of 50 units and is flexible enough to be expanded in the future as the campus grows.
PowerBox Pro Residential Energy Storage system is IP65 rated and can cope with tropical rainy environments. Its simple and modern appearance supports wall-mounting and floor-mounting, which is perfectly suited to the space on campus. Its intelligent fire-fighting design, short-circuit lockout and surge protection functions protect the campus electricity safety, making it an ideal choice for schools and other public places.
