Background
In Slovakia, more and more households are turning to solar energy storage solutions due to unstable grid coverage in some areas and growing awareness of energy efficiency. Especially in mountainous or rural areas, a stable backup power supply has become an important guarantee for an improved quality of life.
A family living in the neighborhood of Banská Bystrica wanted to add energy storage to their existing PV system in order to safeguard their daily electricity consumption even in the event of grid failures or fluctuations in power demand.
Introduction
They chose a two-module solution from Dyness Tower range, providing an effective capacity of around 10.6kWh. Tower Household Energy Storage system features a stacked design with a small footprint and a wireless harness connection that reduces installation complexity and saves on labor costs.With a high IP54 protection rating, the Tower is ideally suited to Slovakia's volatile natural environment, as it can operate stably in both winter snowfalls and spring rainstorms.
